ABOUT
US
Adrian & Schell is a creative business in Darmstadt that specializes
in making glass accessories, schmuck and creative sandblasting. Owner
Andrea Schell, a native of Darmstadt, specializes in stone and glass
schmuck design for both retail and wholesale. From her Deutsche Post
Partnerfiliale shop and glass workshop in Pallaswiesenstrasse she and
her team create a wide range of glass-related designs ranging from handmade
necklaces, earrings etc. right through to corporate awards and architectural
glass panels.
Since the initial success of opening the Adrian & Schell Glaswerkstatt
for schmuck and glass accessories in 2008, Andrea Schell has since added
some new products and services, namely in Februray 2010 she added a
much needed Deutsche Post service to her shop and a little later started
a schmuck repair service specializing in repairing necklaces. Due to
such interest in the Adrian & Schell fused glass jewelry the Glaswerlstatt
opened it's doors in 2010 to give workshops for people who want to try
for themselves.
Behind the scenes in the Glaswerstatt is British Glaskunstler William
Greenwood, creator of the fused jewelry and the creative sandblasting.
After graduating in 3D Design (Ceramics and Glass) in 1988, William
has become a seasoned professional kiln worked glass artist making a
wide variety of interesting objects. In the past few years his main
focus has been creating: fused glass necklaces, armbands, earrings,
rings, cufflinks, paperweights, plates, bowls and engraved vases and
tealights etc. On the bigger side of things William combines his skills
and experience in 3D glass design and vector-based graphics to make
corporate trophies / awards, glass lighting and architectural glass
panels.
In addition tofusing and sandblasting, William creates casted sculptural
forms in glass. For more information about the glass sculpture, please
